Welcome Alumni


Church College has started for 2004.  One of the first events that happened, which is always of great interest is the Student Body Presidency.  We would like to introduce you to the 2004 Church College of New Zealand Student Body Presidency.

YOUNG WOMENS PRESIDENCY

Sister Kathleen Joyce-Reweti  

Hello, my name is Kathleen Joyce-Reweti, my mothers name is Darlene Joyce and my father is Savern Reweti.  My mother is an ex- CCNZ student from the 1960’s.  I live in Palmerston North.  I started CCNZ in the 5th form 2002 and I’m in Wealtha Dorm. I am in Phoenix House.  My two older brothers came to Church College, Wade and Kemp.  I am the last of my family to attend.  I enjoy basketball and have played on the A1’s.  I also enjoy touch and athletics.   I am looking forward to a career in medicine.

Sister Holly Walmsley


My name is Holly Maree Walmsley.  I am the daughter of Michael Walmsley and Fiona Strother.  I am the second oldest in my family of 7.  I am currently in the 7th form and am in Tigers House. I love, absolutely love CCNZ.  I love all the teachers, the sport and extra-curricular events, and most of all the awesome spirit of the friendly students.  I DON’T WANT TO LEAVE!!!

My name is Hayley Sutcliffe.  I’m a second generation member; my parents Lyn Walkington and Tom Sutcliffe are both converts and joined when they were 18.  I am in Condors House.  I enjoy playing the piano and am involved with a whole lot of sports.

My name is Clanella Waetford.  My parents are Molly Bryers and Howard Waetford. I’ve been at Church College since 3rd form.  I am in Tigers house. I’m the second generation to attend and the last of my brothers and sisters.  I enjoy all arts, like music and dancing.  I am originally from South Auckland and I love food….

Brother Kaea Matenga


My name is Kaea Matenga son of Gordon Matenga and Paula Strother.  I have attended CCNZ for 4 years and I am looking forward to my fifth.  I have been on Fine Arts tours twice and one Polyculture tour.  I have participated in Songfest representing Tigers house in small groups (2002,2003).  I live in Temple View and attend CCNZ 2nd ward.  I am sixteen years old and the eldest of one brother and two sisters.  I am hoping to develop a career in medicine.

My name is Peter Burt, son of Peter and Frances and last child in my family of five boys.  I am a dorm student staying in Oakes dorm.  My home is Gisborne.  I enjoy boogie boarding.  I am in Condors House.
2nd Counsellor                            Brother  Luke Katene

My full name is Joseph Luke Katene but people call me Luke.  I have an older sister Natania and two younger brothers Zak and Reuben.  My father is Makea Katene and my mother is Neroli.  My father went to Church College and my sister graduated in 2001.  I am in Lions house and this is my 5th and final year at College.  I played in the 1XV last year and also made Waikato Secondary Schools and NZ under 17’s.  I was also in the Surf Team and play Waterpolo.

My name is Tim Walmsley, son of David and Wendy Walmsley.  I am the youngest and last to attend Church College of my three siblings.  I am in Lions House.  I enjoy playing cricket and sport in general.  I am in 7th form and this is my fifth and final year.
